Foreigners have the right to obtain sworn translator rights in Poland if they meet requirements specified in the Act on the profession of certified translator. It means that a foreigner has to be a Polish citizen or a citizen of any of the countries specified in the Law and pass a translator exam.
There is no requirement that such person should be a graduate of a Polish school. He or she can use a foreign diploma. It depends on regulations regarding diplomas recognition. A foreigner who passed a translator exam in other country has to pass a Polish exam as well.
