Vocational colleges are allocated for graduates of secondary schools. In order to be accepted to a vocational college having the secondary education is necessary, but the maturity certificate is not required.
We can distinguish public vocational colleges, independent vocational colleges with entitlements of public schools and independent without entitlements of public schools. Duration of the learning for individual profession at vocational college school with entitlements of the public school, or at a public vocational college, a program is determined by Ministry of National Education. Learning on the majority of specializations lasts 2 years, i.e. four semesters. At vocational colleges without entitlements of the public school, learning period lasts one year - two semesters.
At public schools and schools with entitlements of public schools students can approach the outside vocational qualifying examination, which passing finishes with receiving the title of the technician in the given profession or of equivalent title, at the end of the process of educating
