People taking up work on the basis of a specific-task contract are not liable to a compulsory social security and health insurance. The obligation of the social insurance on account of a specific-task contract arises when such an agreement was concluded with the own employer. Specific-task contract itself does not oblige anyone to insurance. The employees carrying out work as part of a specific-task contract can get voluntarily insured in private insurance companies.
A requirement of having the health insurance at the minimum amount of 30 000 EUR valid on the entire Schengen area was implemented for foreigners applying for the Schengen visa. If the term of its validity is still valid, you can use it in Poland. If a period of its validity terminates, it is possible to buy the health insurance from the following Polish companies:
PZU clinic insurance (from 49 PLN monthly) and hospital insurance (from 80 PLN monthly)
Hestia clinic and hospital (from 47 zloty monthly)
Allianz
The procedure of the contract conclusion is identical like in case of the Polish citizens with the stipulation that in order to conclude a contract in the gap „PESEL” one should enter the date of birth, whereas in the gap „series and the number of the identity document” one should enter passport’s series and number.
