Customs officers have the right to inspect you not only at border places, ports and airports, but also in the roads distant from borders. Polish customs officers can be also present at a German side due to the cooperation procedures.
They have also the right to check your residency, job or economy activity status.

ABW officers have the right to card, arrest, do a personal inspection and inspections of the luggage, vehicles and buildings.
