It is important to prepare all the documents entitling one to get a visa, because in case of lack of the whole set of documents needed, the consulate will look into the application basing on the documents that have been delivered.

Legal basis: The directive of the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration from 22 of December, 2008, concerning visas for foreigners.
Examples of documents required in RP Consulates:
- a document from a Polish travel agency that cooperates with a local travel agency, confirming the act of booking and payment;
- voucher confirming an internet booking (according to a contract with Polish Tourism Offices from 28.04.2008)
- bank certificate confirming the applicant’s financial resources
- an invitation from a natural or a legal person, registered in a regional council or a written application from a person legally accepting a foreigner – only close relatives: spouse, children (also adopted), parents (also foster parents), grandparents and grandchildren.
ATTENTION! An invitation should contain the inviting company’s/organization’s data, as well as the invited person’s personal data, the purpose of the visit, date of the planned entry, and a clause stipulating that the applicant takes the responsibility of covering the costs of his/her accommodation, treatment costs and a possible deportation;
- written application made by an inviting organization: proper units, country sports unions and EU Olympic country committees
- written application made by an inviting legal person, a company, office or a department of such a legal person or company, government or local authorities of the member states, or fair, exhibition, conference and trade symposium (that take place on territories of member states) organization committees
- a document confirming one’s business activity in his country of origin
- business deal made with a Polish party
- written application made by an organization inviting a participant of cultural exchange
- a document issued by a country unit, confirming that the applicant takes part in a delegation directed to the territory of another party in order to participate in the above mentioned activity, together with a copy of an official invitation.
- Permission for work in Poland, given by a provincial governor or any other subject authorized to give an employment confirmation or any other document defined by law.
- statement of one’s willingness to hire a foreigner
- a document proving one’s lack of criminal history
- documents confirming the nature of work without permission
