Persons coming from countries with non-Latin alphabet often have problems with keyboard.
- The easiest way to access a different keyboard layout is to change the language option on your computer (in case of doubt, you can use the help in your system, e.g. Microsoft);
- Internet offers pages with Polish keyboard without the necessity of changing the settings on the computer, e.g. http://polish.intertype.org/ (please select an option: Polish [programmers]; pressing the Alt key on the keyboard on the screen shows letters suitable to the Polish alphabet).
Foreigners staying in Poland can use the pages with the Russian keyboard:
- www.rusofil.pl;
- an improvement for people knowing the Polish alphabet is a ‘phonetic keyboard’. It uses the similarity of the sounds in Polish and Russian. Thanks to that, after pressing Polish letters on the keyboard, the equivalent letter in the Russian appears on the screen. Phonetic keyboard is available at: www.translit.ru
- There is a possibility of buying a keyboard with the Latin, Ukrainian, Russian alphabet, among others via www.ecyrylica.pl; one can also buy stickers to the keyboard in the country that has a non-Latin alphabet.
