A card must be put in a special slot. You will see a language choice screen (in most cases English, German, French and – always - Polish). Then, you will be asked to enter your PIN code.
NOTE! If an incorrect number is entered 3 times, your card will be blocked. In such case, please contact your bank. After verifying your personal data, they will unlock your card.
After entering a correct PIN code, you will have following options to choose:
- checking your account balance.
- withdrawal - minimal values are (depending on a bank): 10, 20 or 50 PLN. The maximal amount is 1000 PLN in most of the cash machines. It depends on limits of a single transaction (daily) which are set up in the contract.
- You can be also asked if you want to make another action, e.g. charge your mobile prepaid card.
IMPORTANT! Due to frequent incidents of installing scanners and mini-cameras on cash machines, you should keep special safety measures. For example, cover a keyboard with your hand during entering PIN code.
After choosing the amount, you will be asked if you want to receive withdrawal confirmation. Subsequently, your card and money will come out.
NOTE! A paper receipt is a confirmation of a withdrawal and a source of information on our account balance.
If your card is held up by a cash machine, call the number provided on the screen of the ATM and report blocking the card. You should also provide information about ATM number and its location. It is advisable to have bank’s hotline number. In such a case, you will be able to contact your bank and block your card. In most cases it is possible to contact your bank in Polish and English.
If your card is lost or stolen, you should immediately report such a fact to your bank. This will enable to block your card in order to prevent non-authorized person from using it.
Some cash machines in other countries require entering 6-digit PIN number. Polish PIN is composed of 4 digits. In such case, you should enter 2 zeros first.
NOTE! You should have hotline number of your bank noted down to be able to contact your bank in case of emergency. In most cases it is possible to contact your bank in Polish and English.
